Many chemicals are used widely in the industry today, such as formaldehyde, TDI (toluene di-isocyanate), styrene, butadiene, and other petroleum derivatives.  The long-term effects of these type of chemicals on our over-all health are still unknown, and therefore troubling. Scientists do know that these chemicals have the potential to harm our bodies, and our environment.

And as we do know, products made with harmful chemicals will eventually end up in a land-fill, causing additional problems for our environment.

NATURAL RUBBER

The rubber latex used in our mattresses and pillows is harvested from rubber-tree farms. The non-destructive harvesting process is very similar to the method used to tap maple trees for their sap. The natural rubber used in mattresses requires very little fossil-fuel energy to convert the milky sap into safe, usable products, and is 100% biodegradable.

The latex cores are produced from the oil of trees using a natural extraction method that leaves the trees and sap unharmed in their natural environment.

WOOL

Inside the cover is a soft layer of 100% virgin wool, scoured and washed to remove natural burrs and excess oil from the fibers. It is long lasting, won't mat, and is a natural fiber insulator, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The pure wool also has natural wicking benefits to keep moisture from building up between the body and under the material. The covers are made with 100% organic cotton ticking thoroughly inspected to ensure that no harmful chemicals are used in their creation.
